Taylor Dick, 3rd generation broadcaster and youngest son of James Allen Dick Jr., a radio
broadcast veteran, and grandson of James Dick, who founded Dick Broadcasting in 1952
with an AM in Knoxville, TN. Needless to say broadcasting runs in his DNA. After getting an
MBA from Pepperdine, Taylor returned to North Carolina and began working in Finance and
Sales, assisting in acquisitions in Greenville/New-Bern, Myrtle Beach, and Savannah, plus
experiencing the joy of working through covid. During this period, he launched an OOH
advertising division, DBC Outdoor, and fostered growth in the digital division, DBC Next. In
January of this year, Taylor was appointed President of DBC. His success, just like the
generations before him, has been due to a focus on engaging local content with a strong
commitment to the community.
