Susan Oh

VP of Strategy and Operations at Gray Telemundo Affiliate Station Group

Susan Sim Oh is the Vice President of Strategy and Operations for the Gray Telemundo Affiliate Station Group, overseeing strategy, news, programming, marketing, and sales for 44 Telemundo markets across the U.S. She also directs the strategic vision for Telemundo Atlanta, the largest Telemundo affiliate in the eastern U.S.

Previously, Oh co-owned WKTB-CD in Atlanta, serving diverse audiences with top-tier Spanish and Korean programming. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Telemundo Atlanta, she led the station to over 60 Southeast Regional Emmy® Awards, including six for Overall Station Excellence.

In 2018, Oh founded Surge Digital Media, a full-service digital agency designed to address the growing demand for multilingual and multicultural digital marketing and video production, enabling clients to effectively reach diverse audiences through full-funnel marketing campaigns.

In April 2022, Gray Media acquired Telemundo Atlanta and Surge Digital Media. Within two years at Gray Media, Oh successfully launched Telemundo in 22 markets, 4 statewide Spanish-language newscasts, and led the Spanish adaptation of the national investigative newsmagazine InvestigateTV+ en Español.

Gray Media, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is the nation’s largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets serving 113 television markets that collectively reach 37% of US television households. Gray has the largest Telemundo affiliate group with 44 markets and also owns Gray Digital Media, a full-service digital agency serving both national and local clients. 

A journalist by training, Oh has worked at CNN and various newsrooms. She holds an Executive MBA from Georgia State University and a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois.

Oh has received numerous honors, including the recent induction into the NATAS Silver Circle which recognizes 25 years of contributions to the television industry. She has also been named one of Atlanta Magazine’s 500 Most Powerful Leaders for three consecutive years and was recognized in Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 in 2014. She actively serves on several boards, advocating for media, cultural, and community initiatives. Passionate about inclusivity, she is committed to amplifying diverse voices across all platforms.
