R. Matthew Straeb is a principal at Global Security Systems, LLC (GSS), with over 25 years of expertise in mobile applications, broadcast systems, and engineering. At GSS, he leads the development of the Alert FM nationwide alerting network and spearheads initiatives to create disaster-resistant alert systems for local communities. Before joining GSS, Mr. Straeb held positions in companies focused on digital media and wireless communications. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he is also a visiting professor.
Beyond his work at GSS, Mr. Straeb plays an active role in several industry and regulatory organizations, contributing his expertise in critical areas related to public safety, cybersecurity, and emergency communications. His key positions include:
