Dr. Lukasz Litwic is a research leader at Ericsson. He joined Ericsson in 2007, where he worked on various aspects of image processing and video compression research, which formed the foundation of Ericsson real-time broadcast encoding products. Since 2017, he leads the Visual Technology team responsible for Ericson's standardization activities in visual media coding. Lukasz represents Ericsson at several standardization bodies including 3GPP, DVB, JVET and MPEG. He serves as a Chair of Interop WG at Media Coding Industry Forum. Lukasz is a past recipient of NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference Best Paper award. He holds an M.S. from Gdansk University of Technology, Poland, and a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey, in Guildford in the UK.
