Dr. Joseph DeGol is the Chief Technology Officer of Steg.AI, where he leads the development of cutting-edge forensic watermarking solutions. Before Steg.AI, he held positions as Principal Researcher at Microsoft, where he worked on the mixed reality team, and was a founding member and lead computer vision engineer/engineering manager of Reconstruct, a company that delivers 3D progress-tracking for construction projects. Dr. DeGol received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his B.S. in both Mathematics and Computer Engineering from Penn State University. Dr. DeGol is a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow, a two-time NSF Graduate Research Fellowships Program honorable mention, and a 3M Fellow. He has more than 15 peer-reviewed publications in venues such as CVPR, ECCV, and ICCV and 3 patents. (LinkedIn)
