Jeff Budsberg recently served as Visual Effects Supervisor on the Academy Award nominated film “The Wild Robot,” and his work on the film was recognized for a Visual Effects Society (VES) award for Outstanding Visual Effects.
Previously his work has earned him numerous accolades including a Sci-Tech Academy Award for the DreamWorks Animation foliage toolset, an ASIFA-Hollywood (Annie) Award win & VES Award nomination for “The Croods,” an Annie nomination for “Kung Fu Panda 3,” and a VES nomination for “Shrek Forever After.”
With a career spanning eighteen years at DreamWorks Animation, Budsberg has developed a reputation as a respected leader who fosters new technical developments across the studio, and is also heavily involved in open source projects, including OpenVDB and Moonray.
Budsberg is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Concentration in Painting and as well as a Master of Science, Computer Graphics, with a minor in computer science.
