Javier Rodriguez-Fernandez received the B. Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo, Spain, in 2014 and 2016, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) specializing in Decision, Information, and Communications engineering (DICE) from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020. He joined Qualcomm, San Diego, CA, USA, in 2020, where he is currently a Senior Engineer working on 3GPP standardization related to 4G, 5G and 6G, including terrestrial cellular networks and broadcast. His research interests include the fields of signal processing and wireless communications, spanning across information and coding theory, communication, and estimation/detection theory, as well as system design and implementation.
