Jaron Presant, ASC kindled his passion for photography in childhood, transitioning from stills to motion
pictures during high school. On his first professional set, Jaron met his lifelong mentor, Tom Richmond, and worked with the renowned cinematographer on films, music videos, and commercials throughout college.
After graduating from USC's School of Cinema-Television, Jaron ventured into independent filmmaking,
garnering acclaim for films such as "Ten Stories Tall" and "Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac." Throughout
his career, Jaron has nurtured a fruitful collaboration with acclaimed director Rian Johnson, working as
the second unit director of photography on projects like "Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Glass Onion: A
Knives Out Mystery.”
Honored as one of Variety's Top 10 Cinematographers to Watch in 2017, Jaron went on to helm tent-
pole films like "Rampage" and TV series such as "Mr. Corman" and the critically acclaimed "Poker Face."
Recognizing the power of storytelling to effect positive change, Jaron has actively partnered with
brands and organizations, creating compelling campaigns that drive social awareness and promote
meaningful causes. His adept visual storytelling skills and passion for social impact have resulted in
impactful collaborations with esteemed organizations like the American Cancer Society and Stanford.

In 2017 Jaron was inducted into the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). Through the ASC,
Jaron is a dedicated mentor, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience to nurture future talents.
His commitment to helping emerging filmmakers extends to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival
(SBIFF), where he offers guidance to aspiring filmmakers.
