Jacob Lutz is the Director of Technical Operations for the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena. He oversees all aspects of broadcast engineering, event technical production planning, audiovisual systems, NHL club technical operations and capital technical planning. His responsibilities extend across the entire Predators organization, including Bridgestone Arena, a 20-time Pollstar Venue of the Year nominee. In addition to overseeing technical operations for Predators hockey games, Lutz has been instrumental in the production of high-profile events held at Bridgestone Arena, such as the CMA Awards, SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, NHL Draft, NHL Awards, Stanley Cup Playoffs and hundreds of concerts and live events. In 2023, he was part of the team that earned the NHL’s prestigious Stanley Award for Best Game Presentation.

During his tenure, Bridgestone Arena has undergone significant technological advancements, including a state-of-the-art production control room, enhanced sound and acoustics systems and upgraded broadcast infrastructure. The number LED pixels throughout the facility has also grown to more than 40 million. Under his leadership, the Predators have become recognized for their innovative approach to production and technical operations within the NHL. Lutz also played a pivotal role in the planning, development, design, opening and operation of F&M Bank Arena, a 5,000-seat venue operated by Sabertooth Sports & Entertainment (SS&E), a division of Predators Holdings, LLC.

Additionally, Lutz freelances in sports broadcasting, serving in various roles such as technical manager and broadcast engineer. His experience spans multiple leagues, including MLS, NHL, USL and all levels of college athletics at both an institutional and conference level. He holds a bachelor’s degree in multimedia systems from the University of Evansville and a master’s degree in sport administration from Belmont University.
