As the co-founder and former CEO of SSIMWAVE Inc, which was acquired by IMAX, he is recognized as a trailblazer in image enhancement and streaming technology. Dr. Rehman is a champion for IMAX Enhanced, a program that seamlessly delivers blockbuster films to homes through remastered content and cutting-edge devices. He led the development of the groundbreaking IMAX App for Apple VisionPro, launched in February 2024. His groundbreaking research and contributions have earned him and his colleagues both a Primetime Emmy® and a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award.
