Concetta Maratta serves as the Vice President of Media Engineering for ABC News, where she leads the strategic technical direction for infrastructure, systems, security, and support across ABC News. In her current capacity, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the newsroom’s digital and broadcast operations are resilient, secure, and agile in a fast-changing media environment. Her leadership bridges the cross-section of editorial production, technical innovation, and enterprise governance. 

Before her role at ABC News, Concetta held key technical leadership roles within Disney, including Executive Director of Media Engineering, serving as a liaison between engineering teams and news operations. Earlier in her career, she also worked at ESPN, where she was responsible for systems implementations for television and digital media production. These roles enabled her to gain deep experience with the technical complexities of media delivery, system integration, and workflow modernization. 

During her tenure across these organizations, Concetta has overseen major initiatives involving systems migration, broadcast and streaming infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support. Her cross-functional collaborations with newsroom, production, and engineering stakeholders have allowed her to influence innovations in content creation, system reliability, and platform scalability. She is recognized for her ability to translate editorial and business requirements into robust technical solutions that support storytelling at scale. 

Concetta graduated from MIT with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science and from Columbia University with a master's in technology management.
