Clarence Hau is SVP, Standards, Policy & Advanced Engineering at NBCUniversal, where he oversees technology policy, industry standards activities and the advanced engineering labs.

While at NBCU, he has held various technology leadership positions in support of News, Sports, Entertainment productions and linear distribution, media fulfillment, advertising and OTT streaming. Hau has also led major initiatives for NBCU including the 2009 DTV Transition and its TV Everywhere/OTT buildout. His recent efforts have been focused on establishing the highest visual quality of NBCU content across its platforms and the enablement of 4K-HDR and Next Gen TV technologies.

Prior to joining NBCU, he held hardware engineering and product management positions for Panasonic and Pinnacle Systems.
