Charlie Yang is Sr. Director, Video Software Engineering at Pluto TV. He is responsible for media processing pipeline development that powers VOD, Virtual Linear, and Live Linear services. He manages transcoding, packaging, ad insertion, and playout teams that process the media for Pluto TV FAST services.

Before Pluto TV, Charlie was senior director of Software Architecture at Comcast. Charlie's SCTE journey started during the development of the Emmy Award-winning CherryPicker product and the SCTE-35 standard. Charlie has been involved with the SCTE Digital Video Subcommittee and its Digital Program Insertion working group (WG5) through many member companies, including Harmonic, Cisco, and RGB.
