Carl Weinstein joined Locked On Podcast Network as Chief Operating Officer in 2018 and has been instrumental in building the company from a startup into one of the largest sports podcast networks in the country. He has played a critical role in every facet of the business, including operations, sales, marketing, finance, business development, and product strategy. He led the company’s venture capital financing process. Locked On was acquired by TEGNA in early 2021. Today, Locked On, the #1 local sports podcast network, is expected to deliver over 400 million listens and views in 2025 and is still growing rapidly.
Weinstein has diverse experience spanning several industries focused on early-stage businesses in digital media, sports, and entertainment with an emphasis on marketing, product and brand strategy, business development, and operations. He has achieved notable success in multiple executive roles, including as Chief Marketing Officer for Screenlife Games (acquired by Paramount) and Cozi (acquired by Time, Inc.), as Director of Marketing for the Seattle Mariners, and as Director of Programming, Operations & Marketing for New Century Media (now iHeartMedia).
Weinstein also founded Onecast Media. The company developed a revolutionary content distribution technology and secured groundbreaking digital content rights partnerships with Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and other rightsholders.
Weinstein is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
