Dr. Anders Ballestad holds a PhD in Physics and is the inventor of Lightsteering, the HDR technology powering Barco’s LS4K projector. As Founder & CEO of MTT Innovation, he led the company until its acquisition by Barco in 2016 where he now serves as it’s CEO and Member of the Board.

Now serving as Barco’s Head of Content & Studio Relations, Anders oversees the post-production pipeline for HDR in cinema, ensuring that cutting-edge display technology translates into a superior on-screen experience. 

He works closely with studios, creatives, and exhibitors to bridge technology and storytelling, helping cinema reclaim its place as the world’s premier storytelling medium.
