Nearly every major media outlet seems to be streaming live sporting events these days. NBC streamed more than 1,800 hours of live Winter Olympics coverage. Facebook will stream games from MLB, Twitter is streaming NFL Thursday night games and Verizon is streaming NFL and NBA games to mobile users through Yahoo. With sports streaming rights fees getting more expensive, is anybody making money on these ventures? In this panel, streaming experts will look at the new players emerging in the sports streaming market, the economic models that are developing for streaming live sports, viewer trends and habits and where the sports streaming business model is heading.
