NAB Show Super Session to Feature Emmy Award-Winning Amazon Prime Video Series ‘The Man In The High Castle’
W ASHINGTON, D.C. -- Amazon’s Emmy Award-winning drama “The Man in the High Castle” is the focus of an NAB Show Super Session to be held Tuesday, April 25 in Las Vegas. NAB Show, April 22 - 27, is the world's largest convention encompassing the convergence of media, entertainment and technology.
Based on the bestselling novel from Philip K. Dick – depicting an alternative post-World War II universe, where the Axis powers are victorious over the Allied forces – “The Man in the High Castle” debuted on Amazon Prime Video to great success in 2015. The show quickly became Amazon’s most-watched original series, earning nine awards, including an Emmy and Critics’ Choice Award.
In this exclusive NAB Show session, executive producer Daniel Percival and cast member Joel de la Fuente (as Chief Inspector Kido), will discuss the production of “The Man in the High Castle,” what made it such a success, and how OTT series can compete with traditional television.

Daniel Percival is an award winning writer, producer and director of ground-breaking documentaries, features and television dramas. His credits include the highly acclaimed fictional feature-documentary “Smallpox,” followed by his first feature drama, “Dirty War” (HBO Films), for which he recieved Best New Director at BAFTA in 2005.
Since then, Percival has created, written, directed and served as showrunner across numerous successful dramas for British and American Television, including the Golden Globe nominated political thriller “State Within,” HBO Cinemax’s "Strike Back," the Edgar Award-winning “Place of Execution,” and Sony/NBC’s “Crossing Lines.” Percival directed the BAFTA nominated mini-series “Death Comes to Pemberley” (BBC/PBS) and the multi AACTA award winning Australian set period drama “Banished.”
Actor Joel de la Fuente, playing Chief Inspector Takeshi Kido of “The Man in the High Castle,” is known also for his recurring roles on “Hemlock Grove” as Dr. Johann Pryce and as Ruben Morales on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” On stage, Joel most recently completed a run of his Drama Desk Award-nominated performance in “Hold These Truths“ at the renowned Guthrie Theatre. His litany of TV and film credits include "ER,” the Sidney Lumet series “100 Centre Street,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Rescue Me,” “Hawaii 5-0,” “The Adjustment Bureau” with Matt Damon, and indie “Ava’s Possessions.” Joel first broke into television with his role as 1st Lieutenant Paul Wang in “Space: Above and Beyond,” and has since also made appearances at the Williamstown Theater Festival & New York Shakespeare Festival.
