Export Opportunities for U.S. Companies

Maximize your time and investment in the 2017 NAB Show by taking advantage of several complimentary or cost-effective opportunities (programs and grants) NAB Show and the U.S. Department of Commerce/International Trade Administration have outlined in this section.

To broaden your company’s global branding and awareness and to attract new and profitable business opportunities for your company, please click on the appropriate link below for more details.

Export Interest Directory

Click here if you are interested in being included in the list of U.S. companies exploring or expanding their company’s global brand. Your company will be listed in the 2017 Export Interest Directory and sent to all of our international delegation leaders in advance of the show to share with the delegates from their country.

Global Market Insight Program (GMIP)

Make a presentation to the U.S. Commercial Service Officers from U.S. Embassies around the world about your company, its export goals and objectives and learn about new international markets your products will thrive in. Contact Kent Campbell – kent.cambell@trade.gov – for more information.

B2B Meetings

Sign up for on-site meetings with international buyers and/or a Commercial Officer from a U.S. Embassy for a private meeting. Contact Kent Campbell – kent.cambell@trade.gov – for more information.

International Reception

Plan to attend the official NAB Show international reception on Monday, 24 April 2017 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the International Trade Center (ITC) located in North Hall. Casually meet with buyers from many countries attending the NAB Show in search of new international business opportunities.

International Trade Center (ITC)

U.S. companies interested in export opportunities are encouraged to use the ITC to meet with international buyers. We offer complimentary private meeting rooms and can assist with translations when available.

State Trade and Export Promotion Program (STEP)

The STEP program is a Federal State initiative that provides funding to small businesses (less than 500 employees) to help them sell their products and services abroad. These grants are managed by your state’s Economic Development Organization (EDO) and each state manages the program independently with varying requirements. Click here for more detailed information about STEP.

STEP reimbursable activities can include:

  • Participation in an off-shore trade mission
  • Exhibiting at international trade shows
  • Design and translation of marketing materials for international markets
  • Export training
  • International Sales trips

The first step is to speak with the EDO’s STEP grant point of contact in your state. Click here for listing of available offices.
