Going Green
In cooperation with the LVCVA and key vendors, the NAB Show™ makes a continuous and increasing effort to conduct the event in a way that minimizes environmental impact and encourages exhibitors and attendees to do the same.
Annually, the NAB Show implements and encourages the following green tips and strategies, as well as utilizes green supplies:
Reduce • Reuse • Recycle Exhibitor Tips
- Donate leftover giveaways as gifts-in-kind
- Reduce use of vinyl and foam-core signage
- When printing is a must, use double-sided, recycled paper, eco-friendly inks, and use a local Las Vegas print to save both shipping and financial impact
Strategies
- Shifting to electronic communications — replacing direct mail with emails, virtual brochures and use of social networking sites
- Printing on-site marketing materials in Vegas to reduce impact from shipping
- Minimizing on-site signage

Broadcasters Going Green
To support America’s local radio and television stations in the nationwide effort to “green” our communities, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) collaborated with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to create Going Green: A Broadcasters' Guide to Acting Locally. The guidebook contains a variety of simple suggestions, public service announcement scripts and on-air initiatives broadcasters can use to promote an eco-friendly environment.
These strategies enabled the NAB Show to divert 100+ tons of post-show waste from landfills in 2010.
