Please note there are many columns located throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center. Please check the floor plans above to determine to determine if there is a column in or around your booth, or search for your individual column diagram by booth number.

Column Guidelines
Please follow the guidelines listed below as you design your booth:

  • The column can be decorated with drape.
  • Shelving or structures can be placed in front of the column, or hanging signs positioned to help hide it, provided the access guidelines below are followed.
  • Allow access to any emergency equipment or access panels on the columns.
  • Emergency exit signage on the column must be kept clear.

If you want to use a hanging sign to decorate your column:

  • The sign must be hung from the ceiling and within the height regulation for your booth type.

South Halls

  • On the north and south side of the columns, 36" is required for electrical equipment and access. This can be in a structure as long as it is well ventilated.
  • If the exhibitor requires a large amount of power, 100 amps of 208 or more, they could possibly save money if they leave Freeman 60" on the south side of the column to place a transformer next to the column.
  • 24" clearance is required for east and west sides of columns.
  • For reference, the south side is the loading docks.
  • Anything that is marked fire cabinet, hose cabinet, fire alarm strobe light or similar needs unrestricted access at all times.

If you want to use a hanging sign to decorate your column:

  • The sign must be hung from the ceiling and within the height regulation for your booth type.
  • You may not place signs directly on the column.
  • For more information contact Freeman at (702) 407-4696 or freemanlasvegases@freemanco.com

If you are concerned about meeting booth structure guidelines, column guidelines for your booth type, or would like to request a variance, you will need to complete the Booth Variance Request Form and submit a drawing of your booth. This form is only required if you are requesting a variance. The form and further information will be included in the Exhibitor Manual.

Target Freight Move-in
To ensure a quick and effective move-in for the 2009 NAB Show, exhibitors are assigned a target move-in date indicating when your company can have freight delivered and begin setting up your booth. If you are shipping your materials direct to show site, your company's target move-in date is the day your freight should arrive at the show and when it will be unloaded and placed in your booth. If you shipped your materials to the advance warehouse this is the day Freeman will place your materials in your booth. Companies are allowed to start setting up later than – but not prior to – the authorized target date, provided the freight is delivered on the target date. Each date is determined based on the booth's size and location: The larger the booth and the further it is from both freight doors and no-freight aisles, generally the earlier its target move-in date. Refer to the target links above to view your target move-in date.

Note that target dates are subject to change based on the floor configuration. Floor plan changes may affect your target move-in date. Requests for change in target date may not be granted. If you have questions about your target date, please contact Marisol Camacho at Freeman at Marisol.camacho@freemanco.com.
