Arthur Van Hoff of Jaunt to Present Keynote Address on Virtual Reality at NAB Show Technology Summit on Cinema

Arthur van Hoff, chief technology officer of Jaunt, will keynote NAB Show’s Technology Summit on Cinema on Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m. in Las Vegas. The Summit is co-produced by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers® (SMPTE®), one of the worldwide leaders of motion-imaging standards and education.  The keynote address, titled “Virtual Reality - Coming to a Display Near You,” will focus on new opportunities virtual reality (VR) presents for entertainment content. 

Alison Moore, General Manager and Executive VP, NBCUniversal's TV Everywhere Initiative, to Speak at NAB Show

NAB Show organizers announced today that Alison Moore, an NBCUniversal executive who helms the media company’s TV Everywhere initiative, will deliver the keynote address for the new Online Video Conference, one of seven conference tracks offered at NAB Show. Moore, who is the general manager and executive vice president of TV Everywhere at NBCUniversal, will deliver her remarks on Tuesday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. to kick off the Online Video Conference (OVC) at NAB Show in Las Vegas.

BEA and NAB Announce BEA2015 Schedule

The Broadcast Education Association (BEA), in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), today announced the schedule for BEA2015, its 60th annual convention & 13th annual Festival of Media Arts. Co-located with NAB Show and open to NAB Show attendees, BEA2015 will shine the spotlight on its overarching theme of “Digital Evolution in Revolutionary Times” from April 12-15 at the Westgate Las Vegas.

NAB Show Presents 'Cocktails and Conversation' with Legendary Media Entrepreneur Mel Karmazin

Mel Karmazin, the former head of SiriusXM, CBS and Viacom, will share his insights on the current and future state of media in a conversation with Wall Street Journal media and entertainment reporter Joe Flint on Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.  "Mel Karmazin is a legend in the media business who helped build multiple media empires throughout his extraordinary career," said NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith. "We are thrilled to have him speak at our show and look forward to this uniquely candid conversation with one of the industry's greatest entrepreneur and business strategists."
